Woodturning Fundamentals: spindles, bowls and more July 27-31 2009 Anderson Ranch, set in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Snowmass, Colorado, will be the backdrop for this class that is geared for both the beginner and the intermediate woodturner. We’ll explore the basic skills needed to become a well rounded turner. Spindles, bowls and small platters will be the focus of the week. Using our individual creativity to make them unique objects with our own personal flair is what will make this class special. Getting Started in Woodturning August 29-30 2009 This class will be co taught by myself and Betty Scarpino. This will be an introductory workshop to jump start your woodturning. Betty and I will teach the basics of woodturning. We’ll introduce some simple techniques and methods that you can take home and easily duplicate in your own shop and be on your way to the wonderful world of woodturning. Seeing the Small side of Woodturning September 26-27 2009 I will be teaching a weekend workshop September 26-27th at Marc Adams School of Woodworking in Franklin Indiana. Located just 20 minutes south of Indianapolis. This two day hands on class will explore the exciting world of small scale woodturning. Working in small scale offers the opportunity to draw the viewer in for an intimate look at the objects you make. It is a wonderful way to explore shape and form without investing too much time on each piece.
